Description
The shifter mechanism (shifter pawl assembly) converts the movement of the shift lever into rotation of the shifter drum inside the transmission. If the pawl or its return springs wear, you get missed shifts, false neutrals or a lever that will not return to centre. This genuine Harley-Davidson assembly restores crisp, positive shifting.
This is the complete original equipment mechanism for the 6-speed Cruise Drive gearbox and replaces earlier part numbers 34980-06 and 34991-06.
Fitment: 2006 and later Dyna, 2007 and later Softail and Touring models with the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission (many applications through 2023, including Milwaukee-Eight Softail models). Check fitment with our parts team.
