Description
The primary chain carries power from the engine compensating sprocket to the clutch basket inside the primary case. This genuine Harley-Davidson chain is manufactured to original equipment specification for correct pitch, width and strength, ensuring smooth, quiet running and long service life with the factory chain tensioner.
Replace the primary chain if it has stretched beyond adjustment or shows tight spots or wear on the rollers. Sold individually.
Fitment: 1991 and later Sportster XL883 and XL1200 models, plus Buell tube-frame, XB9 and Blast models. Check fitment with our parts team.
